The Trempealeau Trails Bicycle Association (TTBA) is excited to announce our Fall Color Bicycle Photo Contest, celebrating the vibrant autumn hues and cycling spirit of our community. Capture the season’s magic on two wheels, tag your location, and your photo could be featured on our website or Facebook page with full credit to you! The winner will receive a Trempealeau Trails Jersey!
Contest Details
Theme: Fall colors on the Trempealeau Trails. Photos must feature a bicycle (any type) and showcase the autumn scenery of our trails (e.g., colorful foliage, trail landscapes, or cycling moments).
Prize: One winner will receive a high-quality Trempealeau Trails Jersey (valued at $75), perfect for showing your trail pride.
Submission Period: October 1, 2025 – November 15, 2025.
Winner Announced: November 22, 2025, via TTBA’s website and Facebook page.
How to Enter
Take a photo on the Trempealeau Trails that captures the fall season and includes a bicycle. Use a drone to capture your shot if you’d like.
Post your photo on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #TrempealeauTrailsFall2025 and tag @TrempealeauTrails. Enable geolocation to tag the specific trail location (e.g., “Trempealeau River Trail” or “Perrot State Park”).
Alternatively, email your photo to trempealeautrails@gmail.com with the exact location (e.g., trail name, mile marker, or GPS coordinates).
Include a short caption describing where on the trails the photo was taken and what makes it special.
Multiple entries are allowed (up to 3 per person), but each must be a unique photo with its own geolocation.
Rules and Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to all ages. No purchase necessary. TTBA board members and their immediate family are ineligible.
Photo Requirements:
Must be taken on or near Trempealeau Trails during Fall 2025.
Must feature a bicycle and fall colors (e.g., red, orange, yellow foliage).
Original work only; no stock images or heavy editing (basic adjustments like brightness are fine).
No watermarks or logos on the photo.
Geolocation: Include a geolocation tag (via Instagram/Facebook) or specify the location in your email submission. This helps us map photos on our website or Facebook page to showcase trail hotspots.
Display and Credit: Selected photos will be featured on trempealeautrails.org and/or TTBA’s Facebook page, with full credit to the photographer (e.g., “Photo by [Your Name]”). You retain ownership of your work.
Rights: By submitting, you grant TTBA non-exclusive rights to use your photo for promotional purposes (e.g., website, social media, Trails Media videos) with credit to you.
Judging: Photos will be judged by the TTBA board based on creativity, fall color vibrancy, connection to the trails, and clarity of geolocation. Winner will be contacted via social media or email.
Liability: TTBA is not responsible for lost submissions or injuries during photography.
Tips for a Winning Shot
Use your camera, drone, Insta360, or smartphone to capture crisp, colorful shots at golden hour (early morning or late afternoon).
Highlight iconic trail spots like the Trempealeau River bluffs or Perrot State Park’s oak groves. Pin the exact spot in your post!
Show the joy of cycling—maybe a friend riding or a scenic bike lean against a tree.
Note: the photographer does not necessarily need to ride a bicycle at any time.
